About the Role

LAPTOP REPAIRS & NETWORKING SOLUTIONS INC. is seeking a skilled Fibre Optic Cable Splicer to join our team. As a key member of our network infrastructure team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fibre optic cables and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Read blueprints and technical documents to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Test and locate transmission faults, and complete and maintain accurate test and service reports
  • Determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble, and develop effective solutions to resolve issues
  • Install and configure cable modems and software to enable Internet access, and maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers, and splice, join, and connect wires to ensure seamless network connectivity
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in fibre optic cable installation and maintenance
  • Criminal record check
