About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fibre Optic Cable Splicer to join our team at LAPTOP REPAIRS & NETWORKING SOLUTIONS INC. as a key member of our network infrastructure team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Trunking System Maintenance: Inspect and maintain trunking systems to prevent network downtime.
  • Blueprint Analysis: Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accurate installation.
  • Equipment Testing and Troubleshooting: Test equipment to locate transmission faults and determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Complete and maintain test and service reports to track network performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work Assignment and Scheduling: Determine work assignments and schedules to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Cable Installation and Maintenance: Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access, and maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems.
  • Equipment Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers to prevent network downtime.
  • Wire Splicing and Connection: Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure seamless network connectivity.
