We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Emergency Department at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. As a key member of our interprofessional healthcare team, you will provide safe and effective nursing care to patients with complex medical needs.
Key Responsibilities- Administer safe and effective nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing care standards.
- Utilize critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to provide high-quality patient care.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve patient-centered care goals.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- Minimum 1 year emergency nursing experience within the last two years.
- Preference will be given to those with one or more of the following certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Acute/Critical Care experience within the last two years.
- Recent experience in a tertiary care facility Emergency Department.
