The Manager of Nutrition and Food Services plays a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality nutritional care and food services across multiple healthcare facilities. Reporting directly to the Director of Nutrition and Food Services, this position is essential for ensuring operational excellence and effective management of nutrition-related services.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent will be responsible for:
- Strategically planning and organizing all facets of Nutrition and Food Services operations.
- Managing daily activities and ensuring compliance with established standards and protocols.
- Integrating nutrition care with food service delivery to enhance patient and client outcomes.
- Collaborating on provincial initiatives to implement health policies across various sites.
- Monitoring clinical dietetic performance and ensuring adherence to nutrition care standards.
- Maintaining professional competencies and ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills for effective practice.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Completion of an accredited dietetic internship program.
- Membership in a recognized professional association, preferably Dietitians of Canada.
- Advanced Food Safety Training certification.
- A minimum of five years of progressive management experience in a healthcare setting as a dietitian.
- Proficiency in managing food service operations and understanding the scope of practice for dietitians.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and monitor performance indicators.
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships within the healthcare environment.
- Experience in financial planning and human resource management.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards in nutrition and food services.
- Competency in additional languages is an asset, with French being preferred.
This is a full-time position requiring a commitment of 75 hours biweekly, with potential travel to various sites as needed.
