Security Supervisor

Job Summary
As a Relief Security Supervisor with Great Canadian Entertainment, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests and team members. This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires strong leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide input for team member performance objectives and evaluations
- Mentor, coach, and train front-line security staff on best practices for the non-gaming record-keeping system
- Verify security timesheets and monitor, document, and report internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons, and activities
- Enroll guests into the Self-Exclusion Program and oversee crowd control for special events
- Administer and maintain various critical security systems, including Key Control, WINPAC, SIMS, and Threat Management System
- Review surveillance files, maintain site surveillance equipment, and report issues
- Enforce restricted access by unauthorized persons and observe cashier transactions and slot drops (if applicable)
- Conduct regular patrols of the entire property, identify risks and conditions that present safety issues, and provide or assist with First Aid for team members and guests
- Tag and report found property, transfer to Lost and Found, and respond to, resolve, or escalate security issues
- Liaise and communicate effectively with all operational departments and develop strong working relationships with stakeholders, including guests, ownership, team members, regulatory bodies, and police authorities
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 years of security experience in a gaming environment, with supervisory experience an asset; surveillance experience an asset
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
- Occupational First Aid level 2 an asset
- Serving it Right Certification
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends
- Can understand, speak, and write English; fluency in other languages an asset
- Computer literacy in MS Office
This is a dual role, and you will primarily work as a Supervisor but also as a Security Officer when needed.
Work Environment Considerations
- Regular casino environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, and non-traditional work hours
