About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Janitorial Supervisor to join our team at RJS Building Maintenance Ltd./ RJS Carpet Cleaning. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring that they are safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to identify any safety or cleanliness issues and implement corrective actions to prevent future problems.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare and manage budgets for cleaning supplies and services, ensuring that costs are controlled and expenses are minimized.
  • Client Focus: Provide excellent customer service to our clients, ensuring that their facilities are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and that supplies are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Work Scheduling: Coordinate work schedules with other departments to ensure that cleaning and maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the cleaning or maintenance industry
  • Security Clearance: Basic security clearance
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, and reliability
Work Environment
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate to various locations
  • Job Type: Permanent, on the road job
  • Language: English
  • Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week
