Senior Financial Planning Associate

As a Senior Financial Planning Associate at ScotiaMcLeod, you will play a key role in providing financial planning support to a dedicated Wealth Advisor team. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and deliver personal financial plans to clients, ensuring that their financial goals and objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Proactively support the financial planning needs of advisors by building financial plans that address clients' immediate and future goals and objectives.
- Provide alternative scenarios or solutions when clients are unable to meet goals, and identify and communicate referral opportunities to advisors.
- Contribute to the ongoing professional practice by participating in monthly Total Wealth Planning calls and providing general support to Wealth Advisors and teams.
- CFP Designation required.
- In-depth understanding of the comprehensive financial planning process, including investments, asset protection, retirement, estate planning, and tax issues.
- College or University degree.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word and Excel.
- Advanced understanding of financial planning software and ability to model complex strategies.
- Experience in Total Wealth Planning engagement from client discovery to plan preparation and presentation delivery.
- Canadian Securities Course and/or Life Insurance License is an asset.
