We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager - Geotechnical Engineering for Complex Investigations to enhance our team in Eastern Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in extensive geological and geotechnical investigations, often linked to projects in mining, dams, electrical transmission, and renewable energy sources.
  • Participate in various construction oversight assignments, primarily within the energy and transportation sectors.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in partnership with project directors, actively involved in the complete project management lifecycle.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal and external clients through both verbal and written means.
  • Contribute to tender processes in collaboration with other teams or partners.
  • Identify, manage, and report risks throughout the project acquisition and execution phases.
  • Enhance project financial outcomes, including contract modifications, client receivables, and budget variances.
  • Implement GHD's management systems focused on safety, integrity, quality, and environmental standards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, geological engineering, or a related field.
  • 9 to 15 years of experience in civil or geological engineering sectors.
  • Proven track record in project management and execution.
  • Team-oriented, results-driven, and focused on achieving goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Possess an ASP Construction card.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers.
  • Experience in personnel management is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with alternative project delivery methods is a plus.
  • A dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
