Volunteer Opportunities

Arts & Science Undergraduate Society is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Alzheimer's Outreach team. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in fostering awareness about Alzheimer's disease and contributing to the fight against it.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning and Coordination: Assist in planning and executing events to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's Kingston.
  • Volunteer Management: Coordinate participation by general members in Alzheimer's Outreach events and oversee club-managed volunteers in our volunteer programs.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Help promote awareness of the Alzheimer's Outreach club and upcoming events throughout campus and the larger Kingston community.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as booking spaces for meetings and events, and maintaining meeting minutes.

Committee Roles:

  • Internal Affairs Coordinator: Manage administrative work for the club, including booking spaces and maintaining meeting minutes.
  • Marketing Chairs: Create graphics and posts for the Alzheimer's Outreach social media platforms, manage social media platforms, and promote awareness of the club and upcoming events.
  • Sponsorship Chairs: Secure sponsorships and grants for events held by Alzheimer's Outreach.
  • Member Oversight Chairs: Coordinate participation by general members in Alzheimer's Outreach events and oversee club-managed volunteers in our volunteer programs.
  • Event Chairs: Plan and execute all events held by Alzheimer's Outreach.
  • General Members: Assist in club outreach events, volunteer at Alzheimer's Outreach fundraisers and external programming.

Requirements:

  • Availability to commit to an approximately 8-month term.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
