Fisheries Engineer

Kleinschmidt Group is seeking a highly skilled Fisheries Engineer to lead fish passage projects and manage people, projects, and client relationships from our Halifax, Nova Scotia office.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and/or manage structural, civil, and hydraulic design tasks in support of fisheries engineering projects.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and scientists in the delivery of fish passage projects.
- Manage client relationships and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with senior engineering advisors and principal engineers to ensure project success.
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., fisheries engineering, civil engineering, hydraulic engineering).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in fisheries or a closely related field.
- Proven track record of leading successful projects and managing client relationships.
- Strong knowledge of fisheries engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
