About the Role

Kleinschmidt Group is seeking a highly skilled Fisheries Engineer to lead fish passage projects and manage people, projects, and client relationships from our Halifax, Nova Scotia office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and/or manage structural, civil, and hydraulic design tasks in support of fisheries engineering projects.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and scientists in the delivery of fish passage projects.
  • Manage client relationships and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with senior engineering advisors and principal engineers to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., fisheries engineering, civil engineering, hydraulic engineering).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in fisheries or a closely related field.
  • Proven track record of leading successful projects and managing client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of fisheries engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
