Position Overview

The Customs Import Analyst is tasked with the meticulous preparation of customs clearance documentation and the processing of import records. This role serves as a vital link between clients, internal teams, and Customs authorities, ensuring that all entries are accurately classified and billed in accordance with company standards. Additionally, this position will mentor junior staff in handling complex releases.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Receive and review documentation via various channels, ensuring completeness and accuracy before processing.
  2. Engage with clients and other stakeholders to gather necessary information or documents.
  3. Address inquiries from both internal and external parties, tracing shipments and coordinating pre-arrival setups with Customs.
  4. Assist in training new personnel as needed.
  5. Perform administrative tasks such as sorting, matching, and organizing documents, along with other assigned duties.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  2. A minimum of six months of experience in brokerage operations is required.
Skills and Attributes
  1. Proven ability to manage complex entries with minimal supervision.
  2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  3. Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English.
  4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  5. Proficient in standard business software and office equipment.
  6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
