Maintenance Supervisor Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Interfor in Belledune, New Brunswick. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the maintenance crew to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve maintenance-related issues.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and resources to ensure optimal utilization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and services.
  • Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance performance metrics to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, industrial technology).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in maintenance supervision or a related role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex maintenance issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations, with the ability to ensure a safe working environment.
