As an Electrical Supervisor with Interfor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment on site, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards. You will lead a team of electricians and work closely with the Maintenance team to ensure plant production continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement electrical systems to optimize equipment efficiency and troubleshoot issues.
  • Prepare and execute system maintenance plans, including PLC and HMI troubleshooting.
  • Identify and implement corrective measures to prevent equipment failures.
  • Train and develop a team of electricians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure cost control.
  • Collaborate with other sectors to manage day-to-day departmental activities.

Requirements:

  • Interprovincial electrical or instrumentation license with red seal.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a sawmill or processing plant in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley systems.
  • Knowledge of Omron systems, Comact optimizers, RMC-100 and RMC-150 hydraulic controllers, YASKAWA VFDs and Schneider Sofstart.
  • Knowledge of Studio5000, RS Logix 5000, CX-Programmer.
  • Experience in health and safety matters and knowledge of best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite (Word and Excel).
  • Bilingualism.
  • Organizational and communication skills.
  • Results-oriented team player.
  • Ability to coordinate work under tight deadlines.
