Electrical Supervisor Job Description

At Interfor, we're seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team in Belledune, New Brunswick. As an Electrical Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and repairing equipment on site, ensuring plant production continuity, and leading a team of electricians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of electrical systems to optimize equipment efficiency and safety.
  • Develop and enforce internal policies, procedures, and standards for electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Prepare and execute system maintenance plans and troubleshooting (PLC/HMI).
  • Identify and implement corrective measures to prevent equipment failures.
  • Train and develop a team of electricians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Manage and control allocated budgets for electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Collaborate with other sectors to ensure day-to-day departmental activities are managed effectively.
  • Optimize resource allocation based on issues and needs.
Requirements:
  • Interprovincial electrical or instrumentation license with red seal.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a sawmill or processing plant in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley systems.
  • Knowledge of Omron systems, Comact optimizers, RMC-100 and RMC-150 hydraulic controllers, YASKAWA VFDs, and Schneider Sofstart.
  • Knowledge of Studio5000, RS Logix 5000, and CX-Programmer.
  • Experience and responsibility in health and safety matters and knowledge of best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite (Word and Excel).
  • Bilingualism.

  • Ability to effectively coordinate work under tight deadlines.
