Role Overview

The Human Resources Generalist plays a pivotal role in enhancing the employee experience by overseeing the onboarding process and managing contract staffing initiatives. This position is crucial for promoting employee engagement and retention through effective communication and program delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the employee onboarding program, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires through pre-start activities and orientation.
  2. Manage various employee benefit programs, including enrollment and training related to benefits and pensions.
  3. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with necessary documentation.
  4. Serve as the primary contact for agency contract employees throughout their employment journey.
  5. Oversee relationships with staffing agencies to ensure effective temporary staffing solutions.
  6. Assist in recruitment efforts as required by the Human Resources team.
  7. Participate in compensation surveys and manage related data submissions.
  8. Compile HR metrics and prepare analytical reports for management review.
  9. Support the implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  10. Contribute to corporate social responsibility initiatives through participation in relevant committees.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  1. Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.
  3. Familiarity with employment legislation and HR best practices.
  4. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  5. Proficient in MS Office applications.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  8. Experience with HR management systems is advantageous.
  9. Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
  10. Adaptability to changing work environments and demands.
  11. Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting.
