In the role of a Forest Resource Technician, you will be instrumental in overseeing and safeguarding forest, mineral, park, and wildlife assets. Your responsibilities will encompass monitoring forest health, conducting wildlife assessments, engaging in public outreach, and much more.
Core Responsibilities:
- Administer both Crown Land and Private Land
- Ensure adherence to Forest Sustainability Guidelines
- Engage in forest fire prevention and control initiatives
- Perform wildlife and ecological surveys
- Oversee the maintenance of parks, properties, and equipment
Required Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, you must hold a two-year technical diploma in forestry or a related field of Natural Resources. Familiarity with forest management practices, fire safety protocols, and community education efforts is essential. Excellent communication abilities and a valid driver's license are required.
