Reporting to the **IT Manager**, the IT Technician is an essential member of the IT Team responsible for keeping computer systems running smoothly and efficiently. As the first point of contact for IT support, the IT Technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware and software components ensuring efficient system operation.

**In this role, you will**:

- Install and configure hardware and software components, anti-virus software and security systems, ensuring network security.
- Troubleshoot all hardware and software issues and repair or replace damaged hardware as required.
- Perform tests and evaluations on software and hardware and troubleshoot printers, scanners or other peripherals.
- Maintain current and accurate inventory of hardware, software and resources while logging repairs and fixes.
- Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders.
- Use help desk system to complete and document tasks while following up on outstanding requests ensuring timely resolution.
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without interfering with others work.

**You have**:

- Post Secondary Diploma or Degree in an IT related field.
- 1 year or more of related IT experience.
- Current A+ Certification or equivalent experience**.**:

- Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 certificate or equivalent experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite certificate or equivalent experience.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Azure, Networking Fundamentals and/or M365 Cloud services.
- Dedicated team player, who demonstrates initiative and independence with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written to a wide range of end-users with varying computer literacy skills.
