About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced line cook to join our team at KC Restaurant & Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Menu Planning: Assist in planning menus and estimating food requirements for special events and daily operations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and organized.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support staff, to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Cross-Training: Participate in cross-training programs to develop skills and knowledge in areas such as food safety, sanitation, and customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
