About the Role

Candidate Manufacturers & Exporters is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, International Trade and Skills Policy. As a key member of our government relations, communications, and policy team, you will be responsible for leading our organization's efforts on international trade, skills, and immigration policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to advance our organization's interests on international trade, skills, and immigration policy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, industry partners, and stakeholders to advocate for policy solutions that benefit our members.
  • Conduct research and analysis on trade and skills issues, and develop policy positions and recommendations for our organization.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and execute federal advocacy strategies on key issues.
  • Provide political and policy insights to support our organization's deliverables, such as member briefings, memos, presentations, and communications products.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in government relations and advocacy, politics, policy development, communications, and related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of government policy development processes.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary range: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year.
