Workday Student Analytics Consultant

Langara College is embarking on a transformative journey to modernize its Student Information System by implementing Workday Student. We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Analytic Consultant to play a pivotal role in ensuring the system's seamless integration, optimization, and ongoing success following deployment.

Reporting to the operational area leader, this consultant will serve as a vital resource for driving business process enhancements, fostering system transformation, and providing expert guidance on operational analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Configuration & Management: Oversee Workday configuration to meticulously align with the institution's unique needs and requirements.
  • Process Optimization: Lead the identification, analysis, and implementation of process improvements within the Student Information System, leveraging your expertise in business process mapping and data analysis.
  • Testing & Support: Coordinate comprehensive system testing, including upgrades and product releases, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal performance. Provide ongoing support and training to users, empowering them to effectively utilize Workday Student.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure seamless system maintenance, integration, and adherence to established security policies.
  • Security & Compliance: Develop and enforce robust security policies to safeguard sensitive information and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications:

We seek a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in Workday implementation and analytics.

  • Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, including at least 1 year specializing in business analytics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience working with ITSM systems and SharePoint administration is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in value stream mapping, business process analysis, data definition, and preparation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
