Kitchen Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Alberta Ltd O/A Shining Stars Daycare & OSC. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely and efficiently.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Operate kitchen equipment, such as grills, and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and work in a standing position for extended periods.
  • Reliability and strong work ethic.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
