About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hospital Cleaner at Lakeland Animal Care Group. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Ensure all areas of the hospital are clean and sanitized, including floors, walls, ceilings, and surfaces.
    • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and disinfectant sprayers.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry
    • Perform light housekeeping duties, including emptying trash and recycling bins, and restocking supplies.
    • Operate laundry equipment to wash, dry, and fold linens and uniforms.
  • Facilities Maintenance
    • Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
    • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities team.
  • Lost and Found
    • Handle and report lost and found items to the appropriate staff members.
  • Communication
    • Provide basic information to patients, staff, and visitors about hospital facilities and services.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently. The physical demands of this role include standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling. A combination of sitting, standing, and walking is also required.

Working Conditions
