Job Title: Patient Service Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Assistant to join our team at DR HENRY OGHOGHO MEDICINE PROFESSIONAL CORPORATION. As a Patient Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to healthcare staff, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and maintaining inventory of supplies.
  • Assist with patient care tasks, such as taking vital signs, weighing patients, and positioning them for exams.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including cleaning patient rooms and restocking supplies.
  • Transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers, as needed.
  • Collect and process patient specimens, including blood and urine samples.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations, as needed.
  • Record and process patient data, including vital signs and medical history.
  • Book appointments and manage patient schedules.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient service assistant role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate, as required by the employer.
  • Vulnerable sector check and Tuberculosis test, as required by the employer.
