New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is dedicated to enhancing lives and communities. The College is in the process of establishing a casual pool and is seeking Instructors for our Trades & Apprenticeship Programs across all NBCC Campus locations. What you'll do

Responsibilities

Your role will involve:

As a member of the School of Trades and reporting to the Academic Chair of Transportation Trades, the instructor will be responsible for the development and organization of instructional materials and resources; fostering and maintaining a constructive learning atmosphere; teaching and assessing students; cultivating and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; along with other related tasks.

Specific teaching areas may encompass, but are not limited to:

Automotive Service Technician Bricklaying Carpentry Electrician Industrial Mechanic Machinist Plumbing Skilled Trade Techniques Truck and Transport Welding

You should be prepared to incorporate technology and active learning strategies into your teaching methods.

What you'll need

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent, along with a valid Red Seal license and relevant years of work experience. Highly adaptable with outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of navigating and fostering relationships effectively throughout the organization. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to uphold a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Proven problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and innovative thinking. Self-driven, service-oriented, and results-focused. Capacity to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. A commitment to continuous learning and personal development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Preference may be given to candidates with experience in a post-secondary educational setting. Candidates must clearly illustrate how they meet these qualifications in their resumes. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Depending on the response to the competition, the minimum qualifications may be adjusted.
