New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through education. We are currently establishing a pool of qualified instructors for our Trades & Apprenticeship Programs across all NBCC campuses.

Your Role as a Trades InstructorReporting to the Academic Chair of Transportation Trades within the School of Trades, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Developing engaging instructional materials and resources
- Cultivating a positive and productive learning environment for students
- Delivering instruction and evaluating student progress
- Building strong relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders
- Contributing to the overall success of the Trades program
Specific instructional areas may include, but are not limited to:
- Automotive Service Technician
- Bricklaying
- Carpentry
- Electrician
- Industrial Mechanic
- Machinist
- Plumbing
- Skilled Trade Techniques
- Truck and Transport
- Welding
You will be encouraged to integrate technology and active learning strategies into your teaching practices.
Your QualificationsTo excel in this role, you will possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, along with a valid Red Seal license and relevant work experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build strong relationships across the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and a creative mindset
- Self-motivation, a results-oriented approach, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A genuine desire for continuous learning and professional development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience in a post-secondary setting
