Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, verify, sort, and label parts and finished products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the warehouse.
  • Unload, unpack, and route goods to designated storage areas, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, identifying shortages and rejecting damaged items.
  • Arrange for shipment pickups and manage inbound transportation arrangements, ensuring timely delivery and compliance.
  • Verify paperwork and online applications to match receiving documents, maintaining accurate records.

Shipping Responsibilities:

  • Identify shipping rates, request quotations, and prepare goods for shipment, including assembling crates and packing materials.
  • Determine the most efficient shipping method and prepare all necessary shipping documents, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Continuously improve packing techniques to ensure products arrive undamaged, reducing damage claims and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Accurately input information about shipped and received goods in the ERP system, coordinating with the Warehouse, Purchasing, and Accounting Departments.
  • Identify and pick parts necessary to fulfill other departments' shipping requests, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with internal departments, carriers, and customs officials to ensure on-time delivery and compliance, resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Verify paperwork and online applications to match shipping documents, maintaining accurate records.

Additional Duties:

  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the shipping and receiving process, employing best practices to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with various departments, maintaining a flexible and supportive attitude to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Follow SOPs related to secondary processes, such as modifications, alterations, and adjustments of original parts, ensuring compliance and quality.
  • Pick up small packages from nearby Amico Group companies as per internal requests, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a backup for other members of the Materials Team as required by business needs, ensuring continuity and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, efficient, and organized work area, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Perform and support additional duties and activities as assigned by managers and supervisors, demonstrating a proactive and flexible attitude.

Experience and Education:

  • Minimum two years of professional experience in a shipping-receiving position, with a strong understanding of logistics and inventory management.
  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate, with strong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Forklift operating experience, with a preference for Counter Balance and Narrow Aisle Reach Truck experience.
