We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to enhance our healthcare team. This role involves providing essential nursing services to patients at Bella Coola General Hospital.
Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse include:
Delivering nursing care to patients on the inpatient ward. Assisting older residents in a continuing care environment. Offering emergency nursing services to patients of various ages in the emergency department. Collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary team. Fostering quality of life from the perspectives of clients, residents, and their families. Engaging in consultations and collaborations with other healthcare professionals. Committing to continuous improvement and best practices in nursing. Demonstrating leadership and expertise in nursing practices. Advancing personal clinical skills and knowledge. Participating in designated committees and approved research initiatives as required.About Bella Coola, BC
Bella Coola is located in a picturesque mountain valley, offering a serene environment for both residents and healthcare professionals. The community is home to approximately 1800 individuals and features a hospital equipped with acute care beds, long-term care facilities, and a fully operational emergency department.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Completion of an accredited advanced nursing program in emergency or critical care nursing, along with one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge & Skills
Comprehensive understanding of nursing theory and practice within a client-centered care model. Familiarity with BCCNM's standards for nursing practice. Proven ability to develop and implement care plans. Competence in assessing patient responses to care and adjusting accordingly. Capability to manage unexpected situations, prioritize tasks, and resolve conflicts. Proficiency in trauma management in emergency settings. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to provide mentorship and support to new staff and students. Technical skills in clinical procedures and the use of medical equipment. Demonstrated computer proficiency, including experience with client care information systems. Physical capability to fulfill the duties of the position.Closing Remarks
