Grocery Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Grocery Clerk Supervisor to join our team at Asian G Mart. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our grocery department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities of Workers: Lead and motivate a team of grocery clerks to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
- Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Ensure that all sales floor tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, including restocking shelves, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Hire and Train or Arrange for Training of Staff: Recruit, train, and develop the skills of new employees to ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional customer service and meet the needs of our customers.
- Authorize Payments by Cheque: Process and authorize payments for customer transactions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Order Merchandise: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure that our store is stocked with the latest products and promotions, meeting the needs of our customers.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure that our store is adequately staffed during peak periods and that our employees have a healthy work-life balance.
- Prepare Reports on Sales Volumes, Merchandising and Personnel Matters: Analyze sales data and provide insights to management on sales trends, customer preferences, and employee performance.
- Resolve Issues that May Arise: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may impact the smooth operation of our store.
- Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 7 Months to Less than 1 Year of Experience: Previous experience in a retail or grocery environment is preferred.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with customers, employees, and suppliers.
- Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
