Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at La Verrerie Walker Ltée. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and report any issues to the maintenance team.
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, using proper lifting techniques to avoid injury.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 or A Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Air Brakes Endorsement and other relevant certifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
