The Program Manager-Space is a key member of our Planning team within Facilities Management, Planning and Development. This role is responsible for the review, coordination, management, and response to individual and departmental requests for non-clinical and clinical space and space optimization requests.
Reporting to the Manager - Space + Design, the Program Planner will have demonstrated experience in project planning, project management, and coordination, as well as excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills. The successful candidate will establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with stakeholders, campus partners, and external partners, including consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and technical resources to review request scope statements and to clearly define user requirements.
- Contribute to unit-level planning, identifying need for modifications and preparing recommendations for solutions.
- Develop and maintain schedule reporting documents to inform project stakeholders on status and key decision-making activities.
- Develop project budgets for space optimization pursuits and maintain project cost controls.
- Review and manage the purchase of goods and services following procurement policies.
- Track all project-related expenses against the approved budget.
- Direct the consulting team, including architects, engineers, contractors, and specialty consultants.
- Participate in Master Planning/Master Programming of various size projects.
- Provide regular updates to the management team of Facilities Management and Planning.
Requirements:
- University Undergraduate Degree (B.A.) or related field.
- Project management experience (2-3 years).
- Excellent MS Office Skills.
- Bilingualism (English/French) (Preferred).
