Position Overview:

As a Senior Advisor in Strategic Planning within the Initiative Portfolio Management and Business Strategy team at National Bank, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the strategic planning cycle and shaping the business plan for Wealth Management. This position empowers you to make a significant impact on our organization and actively contribute to the transformation of Wealth Management by assisting senior leadership in decision-making and the execution of strategic initiatives.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the formulation of the business plan for Wealth Management and its divisions, ensuring alignment with the overarching vision of the Bank.
  • Oversee, coordinate, and enhance the strategic planning cycle, including organizing sessions, setting agendas, and managing logistics.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses and develop business case studies, presenting insights and recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making and influence strategic directions.
  • Maintain a comprehensive view of the business plan, tracking performance metrics and providing recommendations based on findings and shifts in the business landscape.
  • Prepare and disseminate presentations and reports detailing the performance of the business plan and the status of strategic priorities.
  • Aggregate information, draft executive-level content, and prepare communications regarding the progress of the business plan, ensuring the accuracy of all information.
  • Collaborate closely with various business lines and partners to influence strategic directions and the evolution of the business plan.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging projects, and technological advancements to identify opportunities that enrich strategic discussions.

Your Team:

You will be part of a dynamic team of six dedicated professionals, reporting to the Senior Manager of Initiative Portfolio Management & Business Strategy. Our team is integral to the transformation process and collaborates closely with Wealth Management divisions and other sectors to execute the business plan and manage the portfolio of strategic initiatives. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Finance, Administration, Marketing, Communication) with 10 years of pertinent experience, or a Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of the Wealth Management sector and investment principles.
  • Experience in strategic planning or a demonstrated ability to think strategically.
  • Exceptional writing and synthesis skills, particularly in executive and strategic contexts.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Strong leadership qualities, political acumen, and the ability to influence others.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Adept at navigating a high degree of ambiguity.

Language Requirements:

Fluency in English and French is essential, as collaboration with colleagues outside of Quebec is a key aspect of this role.
