Position: Director of Financial Planning and Analysis – Commercial

Department: Global Finance

Location: Flexible work arrangements available

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours)

ROLE SUMMARY

As the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for Commercial, you will be instrumental in steering the financial operations of our FP&A Commercial team. This role demands a strategic mindset coupled with robust analytical capabilities, business insight, and a collaborative spirit to work alongside various teams.

The Director will report to the Global Head of FP&A and will engage with senior leadership, overseeing the financial performance related to retail sales, strategic projects, operational performance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial evaluations pertinent to commercial activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Investment Analysis: Develop or assess business cases for strategic initiatives, ensuring assumptions are realistic and aligned. Enhance and standardize investment decision-making frameworks.
  • Financial Modeling: Create financial models to project potential outcomes of business cases against financial statements (P&L, FCF, etc.).
  • Performance Oversight: Design and implement financial measurement systems for various strategic initiatives and pilot programs.
  • Data & Analytics Leadership: Spearhead the execution of the Data & Analytics prioritization process.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly articulate financial models and analyses to internal stakeholders.
  • Budget Management: Direct the annual budgeting process for commercial divisions.
  • Strategic Contribution: Aid in formulating long-term business strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Canadian CPA or CFA designation is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in FP&A, Financial Reporting, Accounting, or a similar financial role.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of FP&A and accounting principles, including financial modeling, forecasting, and accounting practices.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Language Proficiency:

  • Bilingualism in French and English is required.
