Your Opportunity:

As a Health Care Aide with Alberta Health Services, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to patients in their homes, communities, and healthcare facilities. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal assistance with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and safety needs.
  • Support patients with organized activities and programs, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Observe and report on patients' mood, health, and wellbeing to healthcare professionals.
  • Work under the guidance of regulated health professionals to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire and active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
  • Must provide a confirmation letter as proof of enrolment from the Directory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supportive Pathways course.
  • Palliative Care course or experience.
  • NVCI course.
  • It's Your Move course.
  • Medication Assistance Program (MAP).
  • Foot care course or experience.
