Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ironworker Journeyperson to join our team in various project sites across the Province of Alberta. As an Ironworker Journeyperson, you will be responsible for erecting and installing scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks, and other hoisting equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Erecting and installing scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks, and other hoisting equipment.
  • Assembling rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials.
  • Assembling and erecting pre-fabricated metal structures.
  • Checking the alignments and joining steel parts by bolting or tack welding them with an electric arc process.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Ironworker (generalist, structural or ornamental) certification.
  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Ironworker, preferably in industrial or construction settings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ironworker materials, tools, and installation techniques.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection.
  • Basic Rigging Certification.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test.

Preferred Requirements

  • Aerial Work Platform.
  • First Aid.
  • WHMIS.
