We are currently looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician to support our operations.

Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Facility Maintenance Technician is tasked with ensuring the facility remains in optimal condition. This includes property upkeep, equipment troubleshooting and repair, and supporting the seamless operation of production activities through routine maintenance.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong technical expertise, and demonstrate the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of the facility and mechanical systems to guarantee safe and effective operations.
  • Perform general repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and mechanical tasks, as well as painting and drywall work.
  • Oversee outdoor maintenance, including landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal.
  • Assist in the installation and modification of machinery, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Execute breakdown, preventative, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Test and monitor machinery, collaborating with the Engineering team for necessary adjustments.
  • Manage spare parts inventory for production and packaging, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Calibrate and test machinery, installing components as per engineering guidelines.
  • Develop and implement a schedule for semi-annual maintenance activities.
  • Establish routines for property maintenance, including lighting changes and ductwork cleaning.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the maintenance shop and other facility areas.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized projects.
  • Ensure timely resolution of building maintenance requests.
  • Keep accurate documentation for reference and compliance.
  • Support warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving tasks.
  • Maintain certifications and complete required training.

Qualifications:

  • Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related discipline, along with two years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to interpret CAD drawings, technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze issues and devise effective solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
