Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Guidance: Provide clinical and leadership guidance to the neighborhood care team, promoting a culture of resident-centered care and empowering team members to deliver high-quality care.
- Resident Care: Attend to the medical needs of residents, ensuring their physical, spiritual, and social needs are met, and promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- Operational Site/Unit Supervision: Serve as the operational site/unit supervisor after business hours, leading incident investigations and ensuring the smooth operation of the facility.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively to ensure seamless care delivery and promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve care delivery and leadership skills.
- Education and Licensure: Registered Nurse fully licensed to practice in the Province of Nova Scotia.
- Experience: Previous experience in nursing, management, supervision, and leadership, with a focus on long-term care and gerontological conditions.
- Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise others, promote a culture of resident-centered care, and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
- Certifications and Training: Current CPR and First Aid Certificates, with a willingness to obtain additional certifications and training as required.
