Job Title: Registered Nurse Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Supervisor at The Meadows, a 105-bed Long Term Care Facility in Yarmouth, NS.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical and leadership guidance to our neighborhood care team, ensuring the physical, spiritual, and social needs of our residents are met. This role requires flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with a focus on delivering exceptional resident-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to the neighborhood care team
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure a safe and respectful environment for residents and staff
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve resident-centered care goals
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality care and service delivery
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care or a related field
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Gerontology experience or education
  • Leadership or management experience in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of resident-centered care principles and practices
