We are seeking a skilled Butcher Shop Professional to join our team at Rui Gomes Meats & Food Market. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of meats and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Preparing Meats
    • Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting
    • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters
    • Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
  • Meat Handling and Packaging
    • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
    • Wrap and package prepared meats
  • Meat Preparation and Display
    • Remove bones from meat
    • Weigh meats for sale
    • Cut poultry into parts
    • Grind meats
    • Make special sausages
    • Slice cooked meats
    • Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
  • Equipment and Machinery Operation
    • Operate manual cutting utensils
    • Use power grinders
    • Operate salami mixers and cookers
    • Use sausage machines
    • Operate slicing machines
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
    • Stand for extended periods
    • Attention to detail is essential
    Requirements
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
    • Or equivalent experience
    • Portuguese and Spanish language proficiency
    Working Conditions
    • 40 hours per week
