About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning and Development Specialist to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. This is a pivotal role that will play a key part in supporting our Leadership learning programs and contributing to the development of our leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate various learning initiatives across the organization.
  • Manage the life cycle of learning programs, including coordinating participants, logistics, supporting facilitators, and facilitating content where necessary.
  • Evaluate, track, and report on all training regarding attendance, engagement, completion, and success rates.
  • Develop and execute engaging training communications for campaigns, calendars, and individual stakeholders to increase awareness and demand for our programming.
  • Collaborate with other learning, HR team members, and learning partners to deliver organizational objectives.
  • Lead complex projects through the entire project life cycle, including course/program development and implementation.
  • Design and develop effective and engaging content and materials, employing recognized adult learning principles.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience managing the life cycle of learning programs, including needs assessments, design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including writing, listening, speaking, and facilitating.
  • Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and organizational skills to support multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • College or University degree in training, adult learning, or organizational behavior or equivalent certification in adult learning principles (CSTD) is preferred.
