Learning and Development Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning and Development Specialist to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. This is a pivotal role that will play a key part in supporting our Leadership learning programs and contributing to the development of our leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate various learning initiatives across the organization.
- Manage the life cycle of learning programs, including coordinating participants, logistics, supporting facilitators, and facilitating content where necessary.
- Evaluate, track, and report on all training regarding attendance, engagement, completion, and success rates.
- Develop and execute engaging training communications for campaigns, calendars, and individual stakeholders to increase awareness and demand for our programming.
- Collaborate with other learning, HR team members, and learning partners to deliver organizational objectives.
- Lead complex projects through the entire project life cycle, including course/program development and implementation.
- Design and develop effective and engaging content and materials, employing recognized adult learning principles.
- 3-5 years of experience managing the life cycle of learning programs, including needs assessments, design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including writing, listening, speaking, and facilitating.
- Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and organizational skills to support multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- College or University degree in training, adult learning, or organizational behavior or equivalent certification in adult learning principles (CSTD) is preferred.
