Job Title: Learning and Development Specialist

The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) is seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of our educational programs.

Job Summary

The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of our registrants. This includes creating engaging e-learning content, facilitating presentations, and managing exam banks. The successful candidate will have a strong background in adult learning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop educational programs that meet the needs of our registrants
  • Create engaging e-learning content, including study manuals and guides
  • Facilitate presentations for continuing education purposes
  • Manage exam banks and associated processes
  • Oversee budget and monitor education-related revenues and expenses
  • Functional management of all education-related policies, procedures, and practices
Requirements
  • University degree and/or college accreditation in education-related studies
  • Experience in a regulatory environment desirable
  • CTDP (Certified Development & Training Professional) designation preferred
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French
  • Experience in design and development of e-learning curriculum
  • Demonstrated skill in written communication consistent with environments of students across multiple demographics
  • Experience within a learning management system or similar with responsibility for broad-based education design and delivery
Working Conditions

The working conditions and physical demands blend a typical office setting with the flexibility of a hybrid work-from-home arrangement. Some travel may be required occasionally. The candidate must have a valid driver's license and a vehicle.
