Kitchen Assistant

Ziggy Peelgoods is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing exceptional service to our customers, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units, as well as clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
- Dishwashing: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, ensuring they are spotless and ready for use.
- Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, such as vegetables and fruits, to meet the needs of our customers.
- Inventory Management: Keep records of the quantities of food used, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing waste.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Supply Management: Handle and store cleaning products, ensuring they are properly labeled and easily accessible.
- Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Urban area.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal Suitability: Reliability, team player, ability to multitask, dependability, and positive attitude.
