Senior System Safety Engineer (Electric and Autonomous Systems)

Job Summary:

CS Group Canada is seeking a highly experienced Senior System Safety Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Functional Safety department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our electric and autonomous systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety and security analyses in accordance with industry standards, including ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
  • Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Define safety goals and requirements for system components and subsystems, including hardware and software.
  • Participate in technical discussions as part of business development efforts.
  • Review functional safety and cybersecurity work products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years experience in system safety engineering, with a focus on automotive systems.
  • Experience in hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA / HAZOP).
  • Experience in system safety analysis type FMEA.
  • Experience with at least one of the following: ISO 26262, ISO 13849, IEC 61508.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
