Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineering Technical Assistant to join our team at Carfair Composites Inc. This role will support the Manufacturing Engineering team in creating and maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, and other technical documents.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes, including work instructions, SOPs, and technical documents.
  2. Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering team to ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to all Carfair sites.
  3. Manage the Carfair CDN/US database of work instructions to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information.
  4. Ensure documentation is compliant with ISO standards and prepares for audits.
  5. Work closely with the Manufacturing Engineering, Sales and Marketing, and Production teams for all Carfair sites.
  6. Prepare and maintain documentation related to Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.
  7. Provide administrative assistance to the ME team to ensure efficient operation and project completion.
Requirements
  1. University degree preferred.
  2. 2-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  3. Understanding of bill of materials and routings generation and maintenance.
  4. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities.
  5. Skills to read and understand blueprints.
  6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  8. Experience with Windows, email, and scheduling software.
  9. Understanding of LEAN manufacturing concepts is a plus.
