Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Technical Assistant - Documentation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and maintaining documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and other related documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates and documents Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with the support of the Manufacturing Engineer team.
  • Manages the Carfair database of Work Instructions (WI) to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Ensures WIs and SOPs are accessible and compliant with ISO standards, especially in preparation for audits.
  • Works closely with the Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Sales and Marketing, and Production teams for all Carfair sites.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation related to Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.
  • Ensures seamless communication and documentation process.
  • Provides administrative assistance as required to the ME team, ensuring efficient operation and project completion.

Requirements

  • University degree is preferred.
  • 2-5 years' experience is essential in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of how bill of materials, and routings are generated and maintained.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities.
  • Skills to read and understand blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Windows, email, and scheduling software.
  • Understanding of LEAN manufacturing concepts is a plus.
