Position Overview

The Accounting Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in financial record-keeping and accounting practices.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a related field
Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and manage fixed assets and their depreciation.
  • Maintain and balance various accounts through both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Prepare and maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Post journal entries accurately.
  • Generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required.
  • Prepare and file tax returns.
  • Compile trial balances of financial records.
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in accounting software.
  • Familiarity with Caseware/Caseview.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Windows, MS Word, and MS Office.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and TaxPrep.
Work Environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
