Payable Accounts Specialist

About the Role
The Legault Group is a family-owned and operated business with a strong presence in the pet industry. As a leading provider of pet food and supplies, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors;
- Coordinate with the procurement department to analyze and track expenses, as well as identify areas for cost savings;
- Act as a key resource and partner for employees, providing guidance on coding and approving invoices through our ERP system;
- Prepare and send payments to vendors, ensuring compliance with payment schedules;
- Prepare and explain rebate reports to vendors, ensuring accurate and timely payments;
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness;
- Manage accounts payable for corporate clients, ensuring timely and accurate payments;
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information;
- Proficiency in French and English, both written and verbal;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively;
- High level of confidentiality and discretion;
- DEP or DEC in Accounting, or equivalent experience;
- 1 year of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience;
- Knowledge of SAP, or equivalent experience;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
