Project Site Supervisor

NIACON Limited is on the lookout for an experienced Construction Site Superintendent to enhance our growing team. This pivotal role involves reporting directly to the VP of Project Delivery, ensuring that construction projects are executed efficiently and within budget, while fostering positive relationships with clients and subcontractors. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily site operations, including opening and closing procedures
  • Engage in project initiation meetings to assess scope, risks, and opportunities
  • Ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety regulations alongside NIACON's safety protocols
  • Oversee all site personnel and coordinate trade contractors
  • Uphold high standards of craftsmanship and operational efficiency, ensuring the safe and effective use of labor, machinery, and materials
  • Support project cost management as needed by the Project Manager
  • Assist in developing, monitoring, and updating the overall project timeline
  • Prepare and maintain a two-week lookahead schedule
  • Conduct weekly schedule updates
  • Direct site activities to meet project timelines
  • Assist the Project Manager with monthly project evaluations
  • Maintain site documentation in accordance with NIACON standards
  • Organize and document regular trade and safety meetings through Procore
  • Keep a daily job site diary in Procore
  • Help resolve design challenges, change requests, material issues, and equipment concerns
  • Act as NIACON's representative during Ministry of Labour site inspections
  • Ensure a safe, organized, and positive work environment on site

Required Skills:

  • Proficient computer skills, with a strong understanding of Procore and MS Project
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations relevant to the construction sector
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Robust problem-solving skills
  • Capacity to manage personal workload in a dynamic environment
  • Team-oriented mindset.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in supervising construction projects valued between $3-10 million in the ICI sector
  • Demonstrated excellent safety record
  • Experience with Procore and Microsoft Project is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 annually
