Job Title: Associate Lawyer- Personal Injury

Overview:

Gpac is seeking a skilled and ambitious Associate Lawyer to join our Personal Injury team. As a key member of our litigation team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of Personal Injury cases, developing your skills and expertise in this area.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence to support client claims.
  • Prepare and lead trials, negotiating settlements and representing clients in court.
  • Screen potential clients, assessing the merits of their cases and providing guidance on the claims process.
  • Document injuries and expenses, calculating damages and preparing pleadings and motions.
  • Interview witnesses, review medical documents, and counsel clients throughout the claims process.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LL.M from an accredited law school.
  • Member of the Albert Bar in good standing with previous experience working in litigation.
  • Legally entitled to practice law in Canada.
  • Strong business acumen, verbal, negotiation, interpersonal, and drafting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team of professionals.
  • Discretion and good judgment in dealing with sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Ability to provide clear direction to others and run an organized caseload.
