Job Overview

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice, representation, and guidance to clients on civil litigation, personal injury, family law, real estate transactions, immigration, corporate law, and estate planning.
  • Draft and review complex legal documents, contracts, agreements, pleadings, and other correspondence.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective legal strategies and solutions.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on Alberta laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, records, and documentation.
  • Stay informed about changes in legislation, legal trends, and precedents relevant to Alberta jurisdiction.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing personalized attention and exceptional service.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all aspects of practice.

Requirements

  • LL.B or J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Law Society of Alberta as a practicing lawyer in good standing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience practising law, preferably with a focus on areas relevant to our firm's practice areas.
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta laws, regulations, and court procedures.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
