Job Description

Mackenzie Health is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a safe and inclusive environment for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic, patient-centered care to individuals with complex care needs
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to create a world-class health experience for patients and their families
  • Manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment and address issues in a productive and respectful manner
  • Exercise sound professional judgment and use best practice guidelines to ensure safe and quality care
Requirements
  • Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Enrolled in or successfully completed the IV Therapy Course
  • Proven clinical experience with patient-focused care, including strong patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and documentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a sound knowledge of English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Practical Nurse Diploma from an approved nursing program
  • Recent completion of a physical assessment course
  • Member of the Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO)
  • A minimum of 1-year recent nursing experience working as a Registered Practical Nurse in an acute care setting within the past 3 years
